Every since republicans drag religion in politics their have been a drop in faith. They tried to label Obama as muslim like that’s a bad thing, called him some "anti- christ".

1. Karl Rove and his “turn political discourse into an open sewer” tactics have turned off a lot of people.
2. The religious fanatics still have too much power.

I’d say they dragged each other down. While Jesus preached love, Christians in America have embraced the practice of hate. Where Republicans were once the broad-based party of Lincoln, they have adopted racism and narrow-mindedness in a desperate struggle for power. They deserve each other.

when 70% of the country claims to be "born again" christians, then I highly doubt the religion is being dragged down. Obama is a Christian u know.
