Ghosts replacing orthodox Christian belief
Approximately half of all Spanish adults say they are ´non-practising Catholics´ according to a recent survey by Publiscopios. When the Catholic Church and its defenders say that Spain has a Catholic majority, they include these people. But can they be called ´Catholic´ in any meaningful way? The answer is surely ´no´. They are Catholics in an administrative sense, but many of them are actually agnostics, or even atheists.
