I heard a sermon where women were told they were to obey men; I think I might become a Christian…?

I’ve been an Agnostic/Atheist, but this sermon really opened my eyes up to the beauty of Christianity; see I learned that women are put here on earth to serve men, that this is their true purpose, God-ordained. It’s like a light went on and I suddenly felt as though God understood me!

This got me to looking through the Bible, and I found that men had concubines; Judah even visited a prostitute, and this was all okay, because God is a man, and men are favoured, you see. I really feel that Christianity makes sense–how could I have been so blind?

As for my question, is this a sound reason to become a Christian?

Please don’t form an estrogen-enraged posse and come gunning for me…..
I’m not giving any of the thumbs-down, by the way.

Read the fine print. You can only have lustful thoughts about your wife. Sex in the missionary position only and you can’t enjoy sex too much – but mostly use it for procreation. And about that…I hope you like kids cause Jesus doesn’t like condoms.

Faith(What do you think on this topic for a christian sermon)?

Say you were in an incident where you experienced first-hand the grace of God, or picture yourself walking side-by-side with Jesus two thousand years ago. Learning and watching all the miracles he performed. And he asks you to do something for him, no mater what it was, more-than likely you would do it.

Why is that? Because you would have experienced God’s miracles, you would have gained 100% faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

But is it because we don’t have 100% faith in Jesus that we aren’t fearless, we don’t love God, we keep sinning, and don’t take every opportunity and use it for his glory.

Sounds good. The only problem I see with that scenario is the fact that even those who walked with Him did not have 100% belief. His very disciples doubted, disobeyed and left Him high and dry when the chips were down. Fortunately, our failures in character are not a prerequisite for our salvation, Jesus is. Thanks for asking friend, good luck in your endeavor.

Tips for Choosing Church Banners

Churches normally prefer that their banners and sign carry some themes, such as seasonal concepts of names of God and Jesus. Many are limited to illustrating Bible vs. or some of the famous Christian symbols. Few churches also favor expressing forthcoming sermon or mission themes. Whatever may be the choice, it is generally recommend that you study the Bible for your inspiration.

Tips when designing your Church Banner

If you have a talent on graphic design or on the subject of visual art, the most rewarding work to do for you is designing a banner. It is actually significant to start with any creative process with prayer as well as counsel from the church leadership. As we believe that God exposes himself to us, your banners actually become an acknowledgment of the hidden gift he has given you. Try coming up with your strong point and look counsel for your all your week points that really helps.

The best way is just to throw you into the banner designing! There is no reason for being shy, so you just need to be dramatic enough and bold in your work. Put every step out in faith and you churches banner would come out amazingly well.

One more good way to start is by studying the theme, which you have selected in the Bible. Then have a visit to any of your local library or get on the Internet and research lettering, Hebrew culture, Christian symbols, royalty, history, flowers, art, etc.

Begin saving magazine ads, which detain your eye, even if you are not actually sure what it is about them that you like. When you look at them later, models would start to emerge. The ads would have similar color schemes or type fonts, may be. Some of what you see would be appropriate to your banners.

Go to art stores or Christian bookstores and take a look at clip art books and lettering catalogs. Notice what actually catches your eye? Those as well might be used for future banner designs. Once again, you are only restricted by your own imagination. Be imaginative and Have fun!
